About Kelvin Lassiter

Kelvin Lassiter is the founder of Lasstime, LLC a company that is recognized for developing the community better know as "The Spectacular Fourth."  Individuals from four groups: substance abuse, homeless, unemployed and under educated/ex-offender are transformed into the champions that exists within.  This process takes place through various speeches, workshops and programs tailor made for the individual to reclaim the life that was once lost.

Kelvin is sought out by organizations who are advocates for the homeless and substance abuse communities.  He brings valuable experience to the speaking industry from personal experience spending time in the wilderness.  Kelvin has defeated a twenty-two year battle with drug addiction, homelessness, divorce and the death of his mother in his arms from breast cancer. 

Kelvin is the author of two books: The Storm Is Over, Quotes for Success & Achievement Guide and "The Force, Tapped Goals & Discovered Potential.  The Force achieved book of the month status for July 2005 by Heaven 1580am radio station in Washington, DC.  The Storm Is Over received five out of five stars by famous book reviewer Joey Pinkney.  Kelvin is a former member of Toastmasters International achieving Competent Toastmaster and Competent Leader status.  Kelvin is also a member of the NAACP-Washington, DC Branch and is currently studying to become a licensed Addiction Counselor in Washington, DC.

Realizing that life was not working out as planned, Kelvin turned his life over to God to consult with him in leading and re-shaping his life and purpose. Kelvin's favorite quote: "Your Thoughts Reflect Who You Are, Your Actions Dictate Where You Are!"  has become a guide for living.  This emphasizes that it's important to never give up regardless of who turns their back on you in times of despair including family.

Today Kelvin has become a leading authority on self-help, drug addiction and homelessness by reading and researching hundreds of books and documents.  He has delivered speeches, workshops and presentations to thousands locally and nationally.  He has presented at churches, youth groups, schools, book fairs and associations.

Kelvin lives in Washington, DC with his wife and son.
